About Dachshund
Darling may be small and short-legged, but they’re known for having a big, confident personality. Originally bred as hunting dogs, they are curious, clever and often surprisingly brave for their size.
Temperament: Affectionate · Lively · Curious · Confident · Loyal
Personality: Full of character! Dachshunds can be playful, cheeky and determined, with a strong attachment to their favourite humans.
Intelligence: Smart and quick to learn, although their independent streak can sometimes make training a little more interesting. Consistent, positive training works best.
Activity Level: Moderate. They enjoy daily walks, sniffing, exploring and interactive play, but their long backs and short legs mean high-impact activities and excessive jumping should be limited.
Family Life: Loving companion dogs that enjoy being involved in everyday family life. Early socialisation helps them grow into confident, well-adjusted dogs.
Size: Small and low to the ground with their signature long body and short legs.
Overall: 🌭 Loyal · Curious · Clever · Playful · Confident · Full of personality
